Home Based Services:
Jewell Psychological Services provides a range of convenient
services in your home. These services are convenient, as parents do not have to spend time
and money traveling to an office, and can be more effective as the
services are provided in the child’s natural environment of the
home. Home based services are provided for the following areas of
concern: children with ADHD or difficult behavior, anger and stress
management, and homework assistance. The following describes these
services in more detail and answers some common questions you might
have:

– We will conduct an initial in-home evaluation to determine the types of services that will be
helpful to you.

Who will work with my
child?
–
An Academic and
Behavioral Interventionist will provide home based services to your
child.
–
You will always work
with the same interventionist to assure continuity of services.
– All interventionists are either working towards, or already hold, Master’s degrees in psychology or a
similar field
and have extensive training and experience working with children
with academic and behavioral problems. Interventionists are not
certified or licensed by the State of
– All interventionists are supervised by Dr. Jewell, who is both a Licensed Clinical Psychologist as well
as a Certified School Psychologist.
– If you are not satisfied with services provided, a different interventionist will be assigned
to your child at your request.

How Does This Work?
•
An interventionist will
come to your home to work with you and your child.
• You will typically have a weekly ‘standing appointment’ with the interventionist
(every Wednesday
at 6 p.m. for example).
•
Each appointment will
last for 45 minutes.
• The interventionist may provide several types of services in the same session
(improving
communication and providing tutoring for example).
•
Interventionists can be
provided on a more frequent basis if needed.
•
Interventionists will
provide all materials necessary to help your child.
•
Services are billed to
you directly with rates as low as $299 per month.
•
We accept cash, check,
Visa, MasterCard, or Discover.
•
Unused sessions are
refunded to you.
• Unfortunately, we cannot accept insurance payment and you cannot claim these services
to your insurance company.
•
What are my
responsibilities?
•
To provide a place in
your home that is clean and free from distraction.
•
To be available to work
with the interventionist as necessary.
•
A parent or guardian
must always be home for the entire session.
